Browser Settings

To function properly, TELS requires that you enable both cookies and JavaScript in your web browser. Enabling cookies allows our site to recognize you as you browse our site; if cookies are disabled, our website will lose track of you and you'll encounter problems. JavaScript must be enabled in order for the pages of the site to function properly.

If you are experiencing problems signing in, we recommend that you check to make sure both cookies and JavaScript are enabled on your computer.

What type of browser are you using?

To determine the version of Internet Explorer on your computer:

  1. Click "Help" from the menu at the top of the screen
  2. Click "About" (a screen should appear giving you the version information)

Is your computer a PC or a Macintosh?

If your computer is a PC:

Microsoft Internet Explorer Versions 6.x - 11.x

  1. Click Tools (Note: this may have the word "Tools" or be a gear icon)
  2. From the dropdown, select Internet Options
  3. Select the "Privacy" tab
  4. Click the "Sites" button
  5. In the box labled "Address of Website" type "www.tels.net"
  6. Click the "Allow" button
  7. In the "Managed Websites" table, "tels.net" should now appear with the setting of "Always Allow"
  8. Click OK

  1. Click the Chrome menu icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. Near the bottom of the page, click Show advanced settings
  4. In the "Privacy" section, click Content settings
  5. To enable cookies, select Allow local data to be set (recommended)

  1. From the Start Page, Click "Settings"
  2. Select the "Privacy" Tab
  3. In the "History" section, select "Firefox will:" Remember HistoryNear the bottom of the page, click Show advanced settings

  1. Click on "Safari" in the menu bar at the top of the screen
  2. From the dropdown, select "Preferences"
  3. Select the "Privacy" tab
  4. Set the "Block Cookies and other website data:" section to "Never"

If you are uncomfortable accepting cookies you can have your browser tell you every time a web site attempts to send you a cookie. You can either accept or reject any cookie coming your way.

  2. From the dropdown, select Internet Options
  3. Select the Security tab
  4. Pick the "Internet zone" icon
  5. Push the "Custom Level" button
  6. Scroll down the Settings list to the Scripting item (You may need to double-click on icons to expand lists
  7. Under the "Active scripting" item, choose the Enable radio button
  8. Push OK and Yes to confirm and close the Security Settings dialog box, then OK again to close the Internet Options dialog box
  9. Refresh the current page
